Custom Package Design

GY’s design team loves a challenge! Our engineering and packaging design team utilizes its expertise along with state of the art CAD software in developing creative, cost-effective thermoformed packaging solutions for your most difficult packaging challenges.

We begin by working with our customers packaging and marketing teams to assess packaging criteria for product protection, presentation and delivery to the end user.

GY’s engineering design and development cycle includes customer input and approval at all phases of development:

• Concept – Customer provided product drawing or sample is used to design a packaging with function, aesthetics and cost in mind.
• Preliminary Drawing – A 2D drawing is generated for review and approval. Typical lead time is one week.
• Solid Models and final packaging assembly (with product) are reviewed with the customer before tooling approval.
• Samples are produced for testing and approval based on form, fit and function.
• Final drawings are generated, reviewed and approved by the customer.
• Tooling is produced and beta tested prior to production.
